C.A. Stampley is Christan from a small town in Texas, where he lives with his amazing wife, four kids, and two dogs. For C.A., his faith is the most significant part of his life, and he loves spreading the good news of Jesus to anyone willing to listen. He loves hearing people's testimonies and telling his. C.A. loves all art forms, from music to movies, drawing, painting, and books. C.A. grew up with a wide range of music; his dad listened to rock, his mom listened to gospel, and his sister only jammed country. Then, as he grew, he fell in love with hip-hop, rap, emo/screamo, heavy metal, and alternative. It wasn't much different from T.V. and movies; his parents loved Western movies, his mom was obsessed with soap operas and Hallmark movies, and his sister was willing to watch anything. He is a big fan of Anime and Manga; some favorites include Rurouni Kenshin, Yuyu Hakusho, and Blue Spring Ride, and he loves Japanese culture. He loves gaming and grew up playing video games his whole life, from the Super Nintendo to Gameboys to PlayStation. A few of his favorite games are Jak and Daxter, anything Pokemon, and Skyrim. All of this worked together to create the man he is today with a love for how diverse and different art can be even in the same areas.
C.A. Stampley loves character-driven stories with beautiful world-building and wants to produce this in his writing. He feels a character should be what drives the stories. The characters' perspectives and emotions should draw us in and help us relate to the characters and what is happening, which is why he is a big fan of fantasy and science-fiction novels. Some of his favorite authors are Brandon Sanderson, Neal Shusterman, Mary Higgins Clark, Katherine Applegate, and J.K. Rowling.
C.A. Stampley is a Christian who developed a love for reading; however, finding books that didn't go against his faith or negatively affected his spirit because they glorified sin took a lot of work. He couldn't stand getting invested in a book, attached to the characters, and then having to put the book down halfway through because it has something like smut or blasphemy. Then it hit him: why couldn't he write books that Christians could enjoy and that had all the awesome stuff we love in books: mystery, action, adventure, loveable characters, suspense, etc., while still glorifying God? So, he took it before God and prayed for guidance and help to create stories, and here we are today. C.A. is pursuing a career as an author to give people books they can go into, knowing there will be nothing they must be cautious of.
